Silent Uproar in association with Hull Truck Theatre presents...

DEAD GIRLS RISING

Katie and Hannah love murder. They go to bed listening to podcasts about serial killers; they clutch blankets glued to gruesome documentaries. They're in deep. They're not sure if they can stop, and they're not sure if they want to.

And then they summon The Furies. The Greek goddesses of vengeance! Well... technically the Greek goddesses of justice. It’s a long story.

Dead Girls Rising is a furious coming-of-age punk cabaret show about surviving a violent patriarchy. Join The Furies as they tear apart the tyrannical history of male power through skits, Riot Grrl-inspired punk music and the all-too-familiar experiences of Katie and Hannah.

Written and lyrics by Maureen Lennon, with music and lyrics by Anya Pearson.

Suitable for ages 16+

PAY WHAT YOU DECIDE NIGHTS
@ THE WELLY CLUB, HULL (4th-6th June)

Some of our performances are' Pay What You Decide' to open the door for first-time theatre-goers (and theatre veterans!).

You can reserve your place in the audience but pay nothing in advance. When you arrive at the venue, you'll be given an envelope. See the show, and then put what YOU think it’s worth into your envelope. Or come pay with card at the end of the show!

Whether that’s the price of a coffee, a meal out, or a new car!

Then simply pop the envelope into one of the collection boxes on the way out.  (card readers will be available at the Box Office if you wish to pay with a credit or debit card)
