OPPORTUNITIES

We are looking for AN EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR- Full Time

We make theatre that’s loud, bold, and unapologetically human. Every step forward is focused on creating queer and alternative culture. As we enter a new era in 2026, we want to step up that commitment and collaboration, and are looking for a full-time Executive Director to join the team.

The Executive Director is Silent Uproar’s senior operational leader, working as a “running mate” alongside the Artistic Director & CEO. Where the Artistic Director focuses on creative vision, programming and artistic leadership, the Executive Director ensures the organisation runs brilliantly: its finances are sound, its partnerships are strong, its operations are smooth, and its people are supported.
This is a role for someone who thrives in a small, ambitious organisation and is excited by the opportunity to shape its future. You will bring strong financial acumen, a strategic mindset, and the ability to turn plans into action. You’ll be comfortable rolling up your sleeves and getting stuck in – in a team this size, no two days are the same, and that’s part of the appeal.

It is widely known that people who experience barriers to employment in the Arts, due to factors such as race, gender, sexuality, ethnicity, disability, or people from a working-class background, are more likely to assume that they are not the right person for a role like this. We enthusiastically encourage you to apply. If any of this process is inaccessible to you, please get in touch through office@silentuproarproductions.co.uk and let us know how you would like to apply e.g., by video. We will work with you to accommodate your request as best we can.

Deadlines for applications are 4th April 2026.

Please note: we may close applications early if we receive a high volume of interest.
